I woke up this morning and there was some snow on the plants and in the pots.
From indoors, I was delightfully surprised to see a robin on my terrace
and I was lucky to be able to make two photos of it
picking on some breadcrumbs I had left on the table yesterday.
It was, and is still, snowing!
My attempts to make a video was successfull but to upload it to my blog...that's another issue which I have not yet been able to solve.
A phone call some minutes ago from a courier service made me stand by the window to wait for the delivery of a parcel I had ordered
and at the same time I also watered my two small pots of narcissi and hyacinths.
What was my surprise when the delivery man arrived
but only handed over an envelope !
At the same time the telephone rang again and another courier company was asking for exact delivery details!
By the time they also arrived,
my husband went out to take delivery of the ordered parcel, whilst I was busy opening the envelope, which was...
a gift
from my dear blogfriend Rania.
I was so delighted to realize that Rania had remebered my birthday and not only had prepared a hand-made gift for me,
but had also arranged for it to be delivered on the very same day!!!!!

A beautiful, personalized, cross-stiched birthday card!!!!!
Plus a miniature flower bouquet on a wooden cotton reel,
a lovely vintage style soap
as well as some napkins for my Easter decoupage!
